VISION

Become a reference centre for the management and culture of integrity issues at the university.

MISSION

Preserving the practice of integrity in the university in a more planned, significant, and professional manner based on the 6 main cores of integrity.

OBJECTIVE

Implement initiatives to institutionalize integrity, prevention, compliance, misconduct detection and punitive action efficiently to achieve optimal results as well cultivate the practice of integrity & accountability of UNIMAS citizens towards a superior work culture with strong moral and ethical characteristics.

6 CORE FUNCTIONS OF THE INTEGRITY DIVISION

Strengthening good governance through transparent, accountable and ethical practices. This function supports the implementation and improvement of policies, procedures and governance mechanisms to promote integrity and responsible administration within the university.
Promoting and strengthening a culture of integrity across the university through awareness programmes, education, training and integrity initiatives. This function aims to foster ethical values, professionalism and responsible conduct among the university community.
Detecting and verifying information, complaints and allegations related to misconduct, integrity issues and breaches of rules or procedures. This function involves appropriate assessment, verification and fact-finding to ensure that reported matters are handled objectively and fairly.
Managing complaints and information relating to integrity, misconduct and violations of rules or procedures. All complaints are handled systematically, confidentially and fairly, with appropriate follow-up action taken in accordance with established procedures.
Promoting adherence to applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures and institutional requirements. This function supports the university community in understanding and complying with established rules and standards while identifying areas for improvement and reducing the risk of non-compliance.
Managing matters relating to disciplinary misconduct in accordance with established rules, regulations and procedures. This function supports the fair, transparent and systematic handling of disciplinary cases while upholding the principles of natural justice and accountability.
